Footstep One:

Pick an inspiration piece to anchor the space. I chose this gorgeous "sleigh rides" sign from my friend over at Oh Sweet Skye. She has a ton of wooden sign options if you are wanting a modern farmhouse piece like this one. Other examples of inspiration pieces include mirrors, artwork, and an architectural piece. You want it to have superlative and likewise is the "wait" you want for the entire rest of the tabular array to model after. Call back about its colors, texture, and size. I began with a wreath over the sign to requite even more superlative and a handbasket full of pillows underneath.

Footstep 2

Find ii identical pieces and place them on either side of the inspiration slice. I used these frosted trees that I have had for some time now. Yous don't want these pieces to be taller than the inspiration slice. Think in terms of the inspiration slice as the top of an invisible triangle that is set up on top of your table. Now draw lines out like you are making a triangle from the woods sign to the trees.

Step Three

At present it's fourth dimension to fill it all in! As y'all can come across, I enjoyed adding several pieces, just you can just add a small vignette to the middle of the tabular array if yous prefer. When filling in the space betwixt your ii symmetrical pieces, consider adding diverse heights and textures. Textures can include drinking glass (like this amazing smelling Christmas candle), woods objects, metal, and greenery. I used several chippy pieces like candle holders to fill in around the heart vignette.

The Christmas vignette in the middle has varying heights and textures and besides utilizes the dominion of decorating in odd numbers (i.e., 3, five, etc). I but set up two crocks with imitation holiday trees on top of a wood riser. Then, I added a pocket-sized Merry Christmas sign to consummate the odd number pairing.
